This is one trait everyone wants in the next person. Your boss hopes you’d faithful to your job and do your tasks and hopefully they create an environment that fosters this faithfulness. No one (in their right minds) will dare marry someone who won’t be faithful to them. In friendships, our kids, our politicians, our pastors etc…we all look for faithfulness. And more often than not, as is human nature, men fall short of this requirement/desire/need.
If you’ve ever been hurt by human beings in any form, you can relate with this – unfaithfulness stings. In my short life, i have experienced people being absent, noy keeping their promises, betrayal of secrets, trust, love, kindensss etc. and maybe you have too.
That is why today, more than ever, i am grateful for God’s faithfulness. See faithfulness is not just something that God does but he is.
“If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13 NIV
He is forever faithful. As faithful as he was when he spoke light into the earth, when he parted the red sea, when he presevered the Israelites from the plague, when he delivered Daniel from the lion, when he caused a virgin to give birth, when he raised Jesus Christ from the dead, when he redeemed forever.
His faithfulness doesn’t change, or shift neither is it influenced by anything or anyone because he is a self regulating being.
This Easter, celebrate the faithfulness of God. Thank him for his faithfulness. Thank him for the fact that he has stopped being faithful for a second. That his finished work is still finished in 2021 and will remain finished in 3000 (if Christ tarries in returning). Nothing in the weather, government, economy or in your personal life will stop him from being faithful – it is who he is.
I know it’s not everyday we wake up and feel like God is faithful. Trust me again, i have been through situations. I have gone through seasons where i even feared for my life. BUT! if there has been just ONE time in your life where you felt God’s tangible faithfulness, that is proof positive that he is still faithful and will remain so. If he did it before (for anyone one on the planet, living or dead), he can do it again for you. Trust in your faithful Savior
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 NIV
